His experience with Design- Build has taken him global, supporting comprehensive planning, programming and project execution through true collaboration and a deep understanding of the mechanics of designing and building. It is this approach that has underwritten his speaking engagements at SAME and DBIA national conferences, as well as serving on working groups for GSA and USACE. The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company was founded on the belief that construction required engineers that understood the science of buildings. Since 1909 Whiting-Turner has advanced that philosophy by embracing effective and efficient methods of building and design. In 1982 Whiting-Turner completed their first design-build project. Thirty-five years later, the firm of 33 offices and nearly 3000 employees has advanced into integrated project delivery. Whiting- Turner has put in place $6.9 Billion over the past five years through design-build contracts, teaming with numerous talented design firms from around the country. Additionally, Whiting- Turner is ranked No. 3 by Engineering News Report in constructing High Education projects.
